The 12 Memories of Christmas — Day #4

12memoriesday4

marianne2Some of the fondest Christmas memories are childhood memories.  Every Christmas my mind and heart go back to my childhood days and my mom baking cookies.  I’d be in the middle of the kitchen with my coloring book and crayons drawing and coloring.  Mom had our pink radio tuned to WBBF, which was playing Christmas music.  The kitchen was warm and smelled delicious.  That was the place where I felt safe, secure and love   To this day whenever I hear Nat King Cole sing “The Christmas Song” my mind goes back to that time long ago.

Those days are long gone.  As an adult I feel the love of God my Father in His Word, where I find safety and security.  “So the Word became flesh and made his home among us.  He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.  And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.” (John 1:14 NLT)
