Did you ever wonder how a southern gospel song is written? Well, Pamela Warren tells the story behind her song, “The Cross.” Every song has its own story, and this is a great one. Pam tells the story and then we play the song for you and all of it adds up to our song of the week!

Howard Hendricks with a very valid observation. Everywhere we look right now, the world is screaming. They are searching for answers, and it so happens that we as Christians know the answers. However, we do seem to struggle at times to share them with those who need them most. We need to ask God to help us to communicate those answers, the gospel, in a clear, understandable way with a spirit of boldness and love.

Feelings … they will mess you up every time! Feelings get hurt. Feelings make you feel unworthy. Feelings make you feel superior. Feelings are a whole lot of things. However, feelings are not God. Feelings are not Truth. Feelings are our perceptions. Truth is rooted in God’s Word. God’s truth is perfect. Our feelings are not. Our prayer should be for God to transform our feelings to be in sync with the Truth. Pray … read God’s Word … that is way to right thinking.
